Electoral Campaigns : Cpdm is Leaving No Stone Unturned

Electoral Campaigns : Cpdm is Leaving No Stone Unturned

The resolve of the ruling Cpdm party to carry frank messages to the populations in the five sections of Fako Division are certainly paying off. The campaign caravans have succeeded to whip up sentiments and emotions among the populations as they have recounted the goodies that the Cpdm has brought over the last mandate.

Charisma : The Magnetic force of Paul Biya
Charisma : The Magnetic force of Paul Biya

The clock ticks, minutes change to seconds,   while seconds fade away,   President   Paul Biya continues to win the love of Cameroonians. But why does he have such popularity ahead of the upcoming presidential poll?

Try this; take a magnet, bring pins near the magnet, observe what happens, the pins immediately move towards the magnet. Such is the force of president Paul Biya, the man who has been the hope of many Cameroonians thanks to his deeds.

The “magnet”, Paul Biya has for the past 29 years proven beyond all reasonable doubts that his “pins”, Cameroonians will never regret haven chosen him. The head of State through his new deal policies has been able to propel Cameroon politically, economically and socially even when banana peelings are thrown on his way. The presidential elections are around the corner, he is still to utter a word but his “pins” are at his feet crying loud for him to be their driver. Nobody wants to be left out in these genuine calls.  Going through the various latest motions of support published from 2010 till now, which come from the ruling party’s top brass, traditional rulers, academic institutions, civil society organisations, youth groups, tradi-practitioners and elite from all the angles of the national triangle, the brainchild of Cameroon’s democracy, freedom of expression, economic boom, social equality and international esteem can boast of the unflinching support of his people.Politically, Paul Biya brought multiparty politics to Cameroon with about 200 legalised political parties since 1990.Press freedom is a reality in Cameroon with the multiplicity of media organs playing their role hitch-free with administrative tolerance applied in some cases. Cameroon is fast adhering to decentralisation. By making a formal commitment to promote and protect human rights, Cameroon has for the past years guaranteed among other things, civil liberties through the expansion and densification of the legal framework for the promotion and protection of human rights. Cameroon can boast of a democratic constitution plus an independent elections governing body ELECAM. Political parties have benefited from the promulgation of the law financing their activities and electoral campaigns. The fight against corruption has reached a no-pity level ever since operation sparrow hawk was launched. The administration of the land of glory has been well organised through the creation of new ministries, reforming of the general statutes  of the Cameroon public service, the creation of more administrative units; regions, divisions, sub divisions and districts. The Cameroon army has also been restructured to meet the demands of the time.Paul Biya has liberalised the economy and reorganised as well as privatised some public enterprises. The banking sector has also witnessed restructuring. Cameroon has a stock exchange market and the economy is on the move. The people want president Paul Biya to complete his road map   for the country. Take a look at some revolutionary projects which have been launched throughout the country and you will understand why the people want him to take another mandate. Uranium mining in Poli in the Faro Division, the Birnvawarsak dam in the Benoué of the North region, bauxite mining at Mini Martap in Adamawa,  a thermal plant in Bamenda, North West region. In the centre region, projects like the Nachtigal dam in Ntui,   thermal plant and the Eseka iron mining project. In the East region, we have the Lom Pangar hydro-electric dam which will generate about 5000 jobs, the Mballam iron mining project to generate about 3000 jobs, the mining of other metals in Nkamouna,  mining of diamond in Mobilong and the gold mining project in Bétaré Oya. Projects in the south region include the Ebolowa thermal plant, the Kribi gas liquefaction centre and aluminium factory,  kribi deep seaport, tractors assembly factory in Ebolowa , the Memve’ele and mekin hydro-electric dams. In the South West, the Biya regime plans to construct a deep seaport in Limbe and a gas liquefaction plant. The major projects in the littoral are the construction of a hydro-electric dam in Som Mbengue and a gas liquefaction plant at Log Baba. President Paul Biya is at the forefront of these priority projects and the people are excited to see him accomplish his mission.Socially, the New Deal has constructed and created numerous schools, universities, authorized private higher institutions, hospitals and health centres, tarred major roads and is currently bent at promoting Information and Communication Technologies among others.President Paul Biya has made Cameroon to be known and respected internationally considering the tact with which he handled the Bakassi crisis. That’s the magnetic force!
